The old London House Stores c.1910, later renamed the Village Delicatessen. at the bottom of the High Street. Next door can be seen the old Lino Shop. This building was there in the 1500s when it was called the Church shop.

Katie Lilley said:  Fascinating to see that first floor above the window on the far right. According to our landlord, a single mother (ooh, the scandal back in those days!) used to live in that bit with numerous children. I can attest to there still being plenty of ancient boards and beams in the building – we haden’t got a level floor anywhere!
