Basil Henry Ham
Notes to Congregational Church Board say he served on HMT Incoma (Ingomar?). Died 24 December 1918, aged 49 years, and was buried at sea. No MoD records nor on WM, but John Stewart found him in Wivenhoe U.D.C. records. John Collins says HMT Ingomar served with the RN in 1918 and 1919, probably on mine clearance.
She may have been damaged by a mine during the post-war clear-up, or he may have suffered an accident, or died of ‘flu or some other disease. Nothing on CWGC and not named on the Wivenhoe War Memorial.
