The meeting in St Mary’s Church on Friday 8th June 2018 was well-attended with around 70 people present for this illustrated talk about the history of St Mary’s Church.

Our guest speaker was Graeme Martin who has long been a member of the St Mary’s Parochial Church Council and who has researched its history. The Church goes back to the 1300s and so is the oldest building in Wivenhoe. It has gone through many changes in the intervening centuries since it was first built.

This meeting also included a glass of wine.  People enjoyed the opportunity of socialising and walking around the Church after the talk.
