Joseph CAUSTON of Wivenhoe, husbandman, 1761. D/ACW 31/4/6

In the Name of God Amen I Joseph Causton of Wivenhoe
in the County of Essex Husbandman being in perfect mind and
memory the fifth Day of February one thousand Seven Hundred
Forty and Nine do make this my Last Will and Testament in manner

and form following First and principally I Commend my Soul
into the hands of Almighty God who gave it me and my Body
I Commend to the Earth to be Decently Buried at the Discretion
of my Executrix herein after named
And as touching such worldly goods as it hath pleased God
to bless me with I Dispose thereof as followeth I do hereby
Give and Bequeath to my daughter in law Anne Chamberlain widow
all my household goods Linen plate ready money Debts or Credits that
Shall at the time of my Decease in any case Belong, or
appertain unto me, she paying my Just Debts and Funeral Charges
out thereof and do hereby nominate and appoint my said Daughter in law
Anne Chamberlain to be Sole Executrix of this my Last Will and testament
hereby revoking all former Wills, Executors and Legacies before made
Rattifying and Confirming this and none other.  In Witness whereof
I the said Joseph Causton the Testator have here unto set my hand and seal
the Day and year first above written

Before the Reverend George Kilby the Surrogate &c By the Oath of Ann Chamberlin
Widow the Sole Extrix to whom Admcin od all and singular the Goods and Credits
of the decd was Granted and Committed on the 14th day of the Month of February
she being first sworn duly to Admr.
