In the Name of God Amen
I Thomas Jenkins of Wivenhoe in the County of Essex
Fisherman being very sick and weak of Body, but of sound
and perfect Memory at the Sealing hereof do this fifteenth
Day of January one thousand seven hundred and twenty seven
make and ordain this my last Will and Testament in manner and
form following: Item I give unto Elizabeth my Loving wife all
the Houshold goods and Linen and wearing clothes that was hers
before Marriage: and all the rest of my hushold goods, Smack, Boat
and appurtenances thereto belonging, and all my Stock of Oysters
upon my layings I do hereby order to be Sold and one half of the
money arising thereof I give to my youngest Daughter
Ann Jenkins: and the other half I so hereby order to pay my
Debts and funeral Charges and what is left. I do give among-
all the rest of my Children share and share alike: Item I give
to my wife one Silver Spoon: and I do hereby make and ordain
my Son John Jenkins to be Exectr of this my last will and
Testament and do hereby make void all former wills gifts Legacies
and Exector heretofore made rattifying and Confirming this and
none other to be and Contain my last will and testament In
Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and Seal the day
and year first above written
the mark of Thomas Jenkins
Signed Sealed and published and
declared by the said Thomas Jenkins the
tesator to be his last will & testament
in the presence of us.
