Percy E. Balls served in the A.S.C. (Army Service Corps) as reported in the Essex County Standard of 24th October 1914.
He was born the son of William Balls and Elizabeth Ann Cork, and baptised on 25 September 1892 in West Mersea.
In the 1911 Census he was living in Brook Street.
