This pamphlet tells the colourful story of a huge whale which was stranded on the shores of the Wivner-River in Essex within six miles of Colchester on the 23rd of April, 1677. It describes the strange manner of it coming up, and by what means it was seized upon by the neighbouring inhabitants.
