There were large barns at Cross Farm until the late 1990s when they were demolished to make way for the new homes in what is called Watsham Place. Claude Watsham became the tenant farmer at Cross Farm shortly after WW1 ended and lived there most of his life. To know more about the Watshams and why there is a road named after them, click here
