Nearly a decade following its opening in October 1964, the University of Essex has developed into an institution of global acclaim. It’s capacity has increased twenty-fold to 2,000 from a mere 99 undergraduates and 23 graduates. Known as one of the ‘plateglass’ universities as opposed to ‘red brick’, this promotional film showcases the range of dynamic and modern facilities available and the lifestyle a Colchester student could adopt, should they wish to enrol.
