A Public Talk in St Mary's Church on 11th October 2019 entitled: “Grey Friars, Colchester’s Forgotten Corner - 2,000 years of history”

 

Wivenhoe History Group presents: “Grey Friars, Colchester’s Forgotten Corner – 2,000 years of history”, a talk in St Mary’s Church Wivenhoe on Friday 11^th October 2019 at  7.30pm.

Tickets are £6 including a glass of wine or soft drink and are available from Wivenhoe Bookshop.

About the talk:

At the top of East Hill stands the imposing building of Grey Friars now a smart hotel. This illustrated talk by popular speaker Alan Skinner MBE will take us on a journey through its many transformations, introducing us to the lives and activities of the many people who have walked through its doors.
