History Group Meeting in Sept 2017 - an illustrated talk by John Foster

The meeting of the Wivenhoe History Group was held on Tuesday, 19th September, 2017 at 7.30pm in Wivenhoe Sailing Club was attended by nearly 40 people..  History Group member, John Foster, Led the talk about the information he has been able to glean from examining census and Parish records, old maps of Wivenhoe and some of the old photographs borrowed from John Stewart’s Wivenhoe Memories collection.

It was a fascinating talk which was much appreciated by everybody who attended.  We were all very impressed by the software which John had created to help analyze all of the census data he had collected together with other information as old burial records.
