The Shead family lived in Manor Road  in what was known as the 24 Row.

Arthur Shead had no male heirs.  Arthur Shead’s father, William, had several children and at one stage the Shead family numbered 22.

    Ahead family grandmother was Annie Alexander Shead . Lived down in a small cottage along side the railway track. Down a unmadeup road about opposite the old Park gates.
