418. Thomas GOOCH of Wivenhoe, Mariner, 1744. D/ACW 29/4/13

I Thomas Gooch of Wivenhoe in the County of Essex
Marriner Do whilst I am of Sound Mind & in health of body
Make my last will in the following manner (that is to say)
I give devise & bequeath unto my loving wife Sarah Gooch all
That my Freehold Messuage or Tenement with the yards Gardens
hereditaments & Appurtenances thereunto belonging Scituate lying &
being in Wivenhoe aforesaid & now in my own Occupation To hold
to her the said Sarah her heirs & assigns forever Item I will
order direct & appoint That all my Copyhold Messuages Lands Tenements
& hereditaments holden of the Manor of Wivenhoe or of any other
manor be sold by my said Executrix as soon as herein after named
as Soon as conveniently may be after my decease for the best price
that can be Gotten for the same and the money arising by such sale
I will shall be deemed & taken as part of my personall Estate and
liable in the first place to the payment of my debts & Funeral
Charges All the rest & residue of my real Estate I likewise
give to my said wife & her heirs for ever and moreover I give
her all my household Goods plate linen furniture & personal
Estate of what nature or kind sovever and make her sole Executrix
of this my Will which I am Induced to make from the ill usage
I have received from my Children so revoking all others I declare
this my last in witness whereof I have hereunto sett my hand &
Seal this Twenty Second day of July 1741
