381. John WALKER, of Wivenhoe,Yeoman, 1728. D/ACW 26/7/36

In the Name of God Amen I John Walker of the Parrish
of Wivenhoe, in the county of Essex, yeoman being sick & weak
In body but of sound mind & memory praise be given to God
For the same & calling to mind the uncertainty of Life do make
& ordain this my last Will & testament in Manner and
Form following.  First & principally I commit my soul into
the hands of almighty God hopeing through the Merrits of Christ
to receive free pardon & forgiveness of all of all my Sins & to
inherit everlasting life.  My body I commit to the earth
to be decently buried In the churchyard belonging to the parish
of Wivenhoe aforesaid at the discretion of my executors hereafter
named and as touching Such Worldly Goods & estate as it hath
pleased almighty to bestow on me in this life I give Devise
& bequeath in manner & Forme following.
Imprimis give & bequeath to my Loving Brother Thomas Walker
Two Carts three Horses & one mare with all the harnesses
& utensells belonging to them freely by him to be injoy’d with
All my wareing cloths & linen with my silver watch to
Him & his heirs for ever the horses mare & carts with all
Belonging to the same as they now are in the hands of
Mr Richd Madder.
Item I give & bequeath to my loving Sister Sarah Lamb wife
Of Sam Lamb one feather bed with the furniture & all
That belongs to the same freely by her to be injoyed & to her disposal for ever.
Item all the Rest & residue of my estate wether real
or personal with all my goods & chattels (not before
bequeathd) whatsoever or waresoever  with all moneys
due or owing to me & in the hands of any person
whatsoever I give & bequeath to my loving brother
Tho: Walker & Sarah Lamb my sister wife of Sam Lamb
Equally to be Divided between them share and share
A like only my brother Tho: Walker to give her sarah
Lamb my sister a suite of mourning over a& above
Wh before I have bequeathed to her.
My will further is that the part of Sarah Lamb my sister
Should be continued in the hands of Tho Walker my brother
To be given to her in & after such a manner as he & she
Only shall demand & to her disposal for ever
I make constitute appoint & Ordain my Loving Brother
Tho Walker my loving sister Sarah Lamb full & sole
Executors of this my last will & testament revoking all
Others heretofore made & declare this only to be my last
In witness hereof I have set my hand & seal this 5th day
Of April 1728 & in the 1st year of King George the 2nd.
