292. Mary BARRETT of Wivenhoe, Wife of a House Carpenter, 1694. D/ACW 22/16

In the name of God Amen Mary Barret 
wife of John Barret of Wienhoe in the
County of
Essex Housecarpenter Being weak in
Body but of
sound and perfect mind and memory
praised be God therefore doe make and declare this
my last will and testament in manner and forme
following that is to say First I bequeath my soul
into the Hands of Almighty God my Creator hoping
to be saved through the alone merits of my
Saviour Jesus Christ And my Body to the
Earth to be decently buried according to the
discretion of my Executrix hereafter nominated
Item I give and bequeath unto my husband John
Barret And to my Three Children Thomas Read
George Read and John all my movables equally
to be divided betweene them share and share
alike Except those Movables menconed in a bond
made from my said Husband John Barret to me
John Cleer before I married him what he should
deliver to my said Three Children my will is that
my said Husband John Barret shall have no
part of those moveables menconed in the said
Bond but to be for the use of my said three
Children as they are menconed in the said Bond
Item my will is that my Exemtrix should take care
of my said Three Children and lastly I doe make &
ordaine my loving sister Mary Addison? sole
Executrix of this my last will And my loving
friends Mr. Richard Humphreys and Mr. John
Cleer Supervisors desiring them to see this my
will performed Revoaking all other wills I doe
ordaine this my last In witnes whereof I have
hereunto set my hand & seale this seaven &
Twentith day of may Anno R R Gulielmi et
