Imprimus
This last will and Testament baring date the 21 of Augu
1696 in the Eight year of the reigne of William by the Grace
of God King of England Scotland &c
First I Committ my soul unto god that gave it I being
at present in perfect sence of mind and Considering the
frayelty of human life doe order and ordain my loving
Broth. John Lock and my loving Cosin John King sole
Exsecutors to this my last will and testament first
I give and Bequeath unto my Loving Broth John
Lock all my Personall estate whether in houses or Land
to him and the heirs of his body lawfully begotten as also for
to hold for ever and further I give and bequeath
all Wages Debtes in Rent or other waies that is due or
shall grow due to me from this day forward unto my said Bro
John Lock further I will & Bequeath unto my Cozin
Mary Groom daughtor to Jeremiah Grome fivety pound
of sterling Money which is now in the hands of Capt. Jn
Potter of Colchester as allso all the money th[a]t is now in the
hands or My Aunt Parkers of Winow? as allso the plate
to be delivered unto the sd. Mary Groome at the Age of twenty
one years or the day of Mariage wth hapons first and un
till such time I leave the mony to remain in my Aunt
Parkers hand soo th[a]t she gives a just acct of the moneyshe hath
in her Hands as allso the Plate and give bond for the same to my
Loving Bro John Lock & Cosin John King for the moneyes
and wolce? is mentioned as above or otherwife I impowr the
said Loving bro John Lock & Cosin King to sue? the said mony
out of her Hand and as above mentioned to the sd Mary groom
to pay or Cause to be paid as allso my fivety pound that is
now in the hand of Cap John Potter I leave in the hand &
managment of my Aunt Parker only she qiving security
for the same to my Exsecturs as above, but in Case the sd. Mary
Grcome should die before the Age of twenty one years or
the day of Mariage the Money & plate as is montioned above
