579. Charles SOUTHGATE of Wivenhoe, Saddler, 1847. PROB11 2062/345

This is the last Will and Testament
of me Charles Southgate of Wivenhoe in the County of Essex Saddler
First I direct that my just debts and testamentary expenses be paid as soon
as conveniently may be after my decease I give and devise all my freehold
messuages lands tenements and heriditaments whatsoever and where-
soever whether in possession reversion remainder or expectancy to the uses
following namely To such uses for such estate and estates and upon and
for such trusts intents and purposes and charged and chargeable in such a
manner and form as my Brother James Southgate shall at any time or times
or from time to time by any Deed or Deeds to be attested or not attested direct
or appoint And in default of such direction or appointment and subject to
any such which shall not be a complete disposition of the fee simple and
inheritance of the said premises to the use of my said Brother his heirs or
assigns forever I also give and bequeath to my said Brother all the personal
Estate and Effects of or in which I shall be possessed or in any manner
interested at the time of my decease to and for his own absolute use and
benefit And I appoint my said Brother James Southgate sole Executor of this
my Will and revoke all other Wills by me at any time heretofore made
In witness whereof I have to this my Will set my hand this sixteenth day
of April one thousand eight hundred and forty six Charles Southgate
signed published and declared by the said Charles Southgate the testator as
and for his last Will and Testament in the presence of us who at the same
time in his presence and in the presence of each other subscribed our names

Proved at London 28th of Sept[embe]r 1847 before the worshipful John Elliot Pasly
Robertson Doctor of Laws and Surrogate by the oath of James Southgate the
Brother the sole Executor to whom  Adm[inistrati]on was granted having been first
sworn duly to administer
