In the Name of God Amen I William Riddlesdon of Wivenhoe
in the County of Essex Edgetoole Maker being weak in body but of sound
disposeing mind & Memory praised be God for the same Doe make
and Ordaine this my last Will a Testament in Manner & Forme
followeth (vizt) Resigne My Soul into the hands of Almighty
God hopeing to have free pardon for all my sins And as touching
such reall & personall estate as itt hath pleased God to bestowe
upon me I give and dispose thereof as followeth item I Give
unto my three Children William Riddlesden Mary Riddlesden
and Elizabeth Riddlesdon All those three quarters and property
that I have in the house withall and singular the land and apptences
thereunto belonging wherein I now Dwell to be equally divided
between them when they shall attaine to their respective Ages
of One & twenty years But in Case either or any of them shall Dye
before their respective Ages of One & twenty years then the parte & share
of him her or them soe Dyeing shall goe to the Survivors share and
share alike item I give to my son John Riddlesden & his heires for
ever All my Coppyhold estate holden of the Mannor of Raydon
in the County of Suffolke And as for my personall my Will is that
my Executors hereafter Named As soon as they Cann after my
Decease sell and Dispose of the same for the payment of my
just Debts And what shall Remaine after they are paid the
Remainder to be Left in My Exentors hands towards the bringing
upp & Maintaineing my said four Children William Mary
Elizabeth and John untill they attaine to their respective Ages
of One and twenty years And I Doe Appoint my Kinsman
Martin Riddlesdon & my Friend Thomas Thorne Executors of
this my will And Doe declare this to be my last Will & Testament
In Wittnes whereof I have hereunto sett me hand & seale this
eight Day of Docember Anno Dm 1724
