329. John MICKELFIELD of Wivenhoe, Yeoman, 1705.  D/ACW 23/113

In the Name of God Amen the Thirteenth day of April in the fourth year of
the reigne of Our sover Lady Queen Ann of England &c Anno dom 1705 I John Mickelfield
of Wivenhoe in the County of Essex Youman being sick & weake in body but of sound & perfect
memory praise be given to God for the same, and knowing the Incertainty of this life on
Earth and being desierous to settle things in Order do make this my Cost will & testamnt in manner
& form following tht is to say first & principally I Commend my soul to Almighty God my
creator assuredly believeing tht I shall Receive full pardon and free remission of my sins
and to be saved by the precious death & Merits of my blessed saviour & redeemer Christ Jesus
and my body to the earth from whence it was taken to be buried in such decent and
christian Manner as to my executors hereafter Named shall be thought meet and convenient
as Touching such worldly estate as the lord in Mercy hath Lent me my will and meaning is
the same shall be Imployed and bestowed as hereafter by this my will is expressed Item my
will is that all my free hold & coppy hold lands & Tennements whatsoever & wheresoever
together with all the Appurtenances to the same belonging or Apperteyning & now in
the severall Occupacons of Martin Skinner of Brightlingsea. Robt Pausey of Thorington
Willi Haward of Thorington & John Keeble of Much Bentley Wheele wright. Shall by sold
by my Executors within twelve Months after my decease and the money & proffets there
of shall pay and discharge all & singular my debts upon Bonds & afterways as I shall Owe
at my decease & funerall Charges and what moneys as shall be overpluce or to spare-
shall be equally divided amongst my children that shall be then liveing share and
share alike. and further my will is tht all my Moveable Goods & Chattles whatsoever
& wheresoever shall be equally devided amongst my sd children then liveing share &
share alike if they can agree & abide by the Judgment of my Executors otherways
my sd Goods shall be sold & the money thereof shall be equally divided between them
share & share alike at there Respective ages of One & twenty years or the day of Mariage
which shall first happen; and to Remane into the hands of my Exer: untill they shall
attaine there sd ages, and to be put out to Interest and the proffits or revenue thereof shall
be to bring them up to there sd ages. Item I give unto my Daughter Hanah all tht her
Mothers child bed finen & Clothes now in her Own possesion & Trunk and of this my
last will make & Ordaine my loving son Richard Mickelfield & my loving friend
John Hall of Wivenhoe Marriner my whole & sole Executors revoakeing & disanulling
all other wills Legecies pr bequest by me formerly made this only to be my last
will & testament
