This is the last Will and Testament
of me William Coney of Wivenhoe in
the County of Essex Cooper which I make
in manner following that is to say I give
And devise All that my freehold Messuage
or Tenements and Premises with the
appurtenances situate in Wivenhoe aforesaid
in which I now reside unto and to the use
of my Housekeeper Lucy Jones Widow of
Wivenhoe in the County of Essex and
James Moore Grocer of Wivenhoe in the
County of Essex their heirs and assigns
upon the Trusts hereinafter mentioned
I also give and bequeath unto my said
Trustees All my Household Furniture
Stock in Trade monies and other my
Personal Estate whatsoever Upon trust
as soon as conveniently may be after
my decease to sell and dispose of my
said Messuage and Real Estate either
by Public Auction or Private Contract
and also to sell and dispose of such
part of my Personal Estate as shall
not consist of money and the monies
arising from such Sales and all other
my monies whatsoever after payment of
the expenses of proving and carrying out
the Trusts of this my Will I give and
bequeath unto and equally between my
Nieces Elizabeth the wife of Samuel
Chamberlain of Wivenhoe aforesaid Porter
my Niece Lydia Coney of Camberwell
aforesaid Spinster my Niece Rebecca
Coney of London Spinster and my
Housekeeper Lucy Jones Widow of
Wivenhoe aforesaid whose receipts shall
be a sufficient discharge to my said
Trustees for the same And I declare
that the receipt of my Trustees for the monies
to arise from the Sale of my Real Estate
and for all other monies that shall be
paid to them by virtue of my Will shall
effectually discharge the purchaser or person
paying the same from all liability to
see to the application thereof And I declare
that my said trustees shall be answerable
for their own respective receipts and defaults
only and shall be at liberty to retain and
allow to each other the expenses attending
the execution of this my Will And I
appoint my said Housekeeper Lucy Jones
Widow of Wivenhoe and James Moore
Grocer of Wivenhoe Executrix and
Executor of this my Will In Witness
whereof I have hereunto set my hand this
sixteenth day of April one thousand eight
hundred and fifty

Dated 16th April 1850
On the 3rd day of December 1857
James Moore of Wivenhoe in the
County Essex Grocer one of the
Executors within named was sworn
to the truth of the within Will and to the
due performance thereof And that to
to the best of his knowledge and belief the
value of the Goods Chattles and Credits
of which the Testator died possessed do not
exceed the sum of one hundred pounds
Power being retained to Lucy Jones the other
Executrix named in the will
The Testator died
At Wivenhoe on
the 23rd day of August Henry Caddell

Proved on the 4th day of December 1857
before the Reverend Henry Caddell clerk
Surrogate be by the oath of James Moore one
of the Executors to whom Admon was
granted he being first sworn duly to
administer Power being reserved to
Lucy Jones the other Executor when she
shall apply for the same
