360. Taverner WIGMORE of Wivenhoe, Shipwright. 1721.  D/ACW 25/173

The last will & Testament of me Taverner Wigmore of Wivenhoe in
the County of Essex shipwright made this third Day of December Anno Dm 1720
First I comend my soul into the hands of Almighty God hoping thro the Merits
of Jesus Christ to obtain eternal Salvacon and my body to the Earth to be
decently buried at the discretion of my Executors herein after named and my worldly
estate I dispose of as follows Imprimis I give & devise to my Son Taverner Wigmore
to his Heirs, for ever All that my Messuage or Tenement wherein I now dwell with the
appurtences called an underset to Coopers or otherwise But my will is that Martha my
wife shall recieve the Rents & proffits thereof to her own use until my said son shall
attain his Age of Twenty one Years provided that she shall thereout educate and
maintain him the said Taverner with necessaries during that time And my will also
is that the Fine & Fees for the Admission of my sd Son to the messuage aforesaid
shall be paid by my Executors out of the monies arising by Sale of the Messuage herein
=after mentiond Item I give & devise All that my Messuage or tenement with the
appurtences in Wivenhoe aforesd called an undrset to the Brickhouse or otherwise &
now known by the Sign of the Ship to my said wife & to William March of Wivenhoe
aforesd Carpenter and their Heirs In Trust that the same shall be sold by them or
the survivor of them And that with the Monies arising by Sale thereof and the issue?
proffits until sale they or the survivor of them shall pay all principal and interest
monies to be due on Mortgage of the same prmisses to Mrs Sarah Cooke Widow and
also the Fine & Fees on the admission of my said son Taverner to the Messuage herein
before devised to him And all the remaining part of the monies arising by such Sale
I give & bequath to my sons Thomas Taverner Wigmore Lamb Wigmore & Taverner
Wigmore equally to be divided among them or the survivors of them Item I give
& bequeath my silver watch to my Son John Wigmore Item all my household Goods
And all the rest & residue of my personal Estate After my Debts & Funeral Charges
paid I give & bequeath to the said Martha my wife And I do constitute and
appoint her the said Martha and the said William March Executors of this my
will And revoaking all former wills by me made Do ordain this to be my last
will & testament In Witness whereof I have hereunto let my hand & seal
and published & declared this to be my last will & testament the day & year
above written
