453. Jeremiah DOWNS of Wivenhoe, Mariner,1760. D/ACW 31/3/9

in the Name of God Amen I Jeremiah Downs of Wivenhoe
in the County of Essex, Marriner being in Health and of Sound
Disposing mind and Memory praised be God for the same
doe make my last Will and testament in Manner Following
(that is to say) First I Recomend my Soul into the Hands
of Almighty God my Creator hopeing to have Remission
for all my sins and my Body I comitt to the Earth to be
Decently buried att the Discretion of my Executrix hereinafter
named and as to such estate as itt hath pleased God to
bestow upon me I Dispose thereof as Follows Item
I give and bequeath unto my Brother Allen Downs of
Dedham one shilling and to his two children one shilling apiece within one month after
my Decease Item I give and bequeath to all my Sisters
Children one Shilling apiece And as for the Rest and
Residue of estate whatsoever and wheresoever
whether the same be Reall or personal after just Debts
Legacyes Funerall Charges and the Probate of this my
Will being First paid and Discharged I Give and bequeath
unto my Dear and Loveing Wife Sarah Who I make Sole
Executrix of this my last will soe Revoaking and making
Void all Former and other Will by me heretofore made
Doe declare this to be my last Will and Testament In
Witness Whereof I have hereto Sett my hand and seal
this eight Day of January in the Seventh Year of the
Reigne of King George the Second and in the year of
our Lord One Thousand & Thousand Seven Hundred and thirty three

Oath of Sarah Downs Widow the Relict of the Decd and Sole Executrix

of the said Deceased was Granted and Committed she being first sworn
duly to Admr
