414. Thomas NUNN of Wivenhoe, Butcher, 1742. D/ACW 29/2/9

In the Name of God Amen I Thomas Nunn of Wivenhoe in the County of Essex Butcher being sick and
Weak in Body but of sound and perfect mind memory and understanding Do make my last will and
Testament in manner and form following (that is to say) first I Give and Devise all that my freehold
messuage or tenement with the appurtenances now in my own occupation and all those my two copyhold
pieces of Land lying in Wivenhoe aforesaid To my Granddaughter Sarah Arthy her heirs and assigns for
ever Also I Give and devise all that my Copyhold Tenement in Wivenhoe aforesaid now in the occupation
of my Daughter in law Hannah Nunn Widow to her my said Daughter in Law her heirs and assigns for
ever Also I Give to my said Daughter in Law All Debts and Arrears of Rent now Due to me from her
my said Daughter in Law Also I Give All those my two Copyhold Tenements in Wivenhoe aforesaid
now in the occupation of Newton Blower and Thomas Howlen to be sold by my Executors herein after
named for the best price that can be gotten for the same as soon as Conveniently may be after my
Decease and the money arising from such sale to be applyed towards the payment of the Legacyes
hereinafter mentioned Also I Give and bequeath to my Nieces Hannah Nunn and Mary Nunn the
sum of Twenty pounds apiece Also I Give and bequeath to my Niece Ann Nunn the sum of Ten
pounds Also I give and bequeath to my Aunt Sarah Whitley my kinswoman Elizabeth Chapman
Widow & Elizabeth Chapman her daughter my Kinsman George Clark and Mary Clark his sister my
Kinswoman Sarah Dixon, Sarah Blower Martha Blower and Elizabeth Blower children of Newton
Blower
and to my nieces Elizabeth Nunn and Susan Nunn the sum of One Hundred pounds to be paid
them in equall shares and proportions in Manner following (that is to say) to such of them as are of the
age of twenty one years or upwards at Six Months after my Decease and to such of them
as are under that age then they shall attain their respective ages of Twenty one years or Days
of Marriage which shall first happen And I do hereby nominate Constitute and appoint my son
in Law Thomas Arthy and my friend Samuel Roberts of Wivenhoe aforesaid Baker to be Executors
of this my last will and Testament and I Do Give to the said Samuel Roberts one Guinea in full
Satisfaction for his Care and Trouble and in full of All Demands on account of his Execution hereof
And hereby Revoking All former Wills and Testaments by me at any time heretofore made I do
Declare this to be my last In Witness whereof I the said Thomas Nunn have hereunto sett
my hand and seal and have published and Declared this to be my last will and Testament the
fifth day of March In the year of our Lord One Thousand Seven Hundred and Forty one
