325. Thomas QUIXLEY of Wivenhoe, Sailmaker, 1703.  D/ACW 23/55

In the name of God Amen I Thomas Quixley of Wivenhoe in the County of Essex
Sayle maker Doe make and Ordeine this my last Will and testamnt in manner following, First
I give and divise unto my son Samuel and his heires for ever all that my Messuage or tenement
with the yards gardens and appertences to the same belonging situate lying and being in
Braintree in the said County now in the Ocupation of the Widd:  Clayton or her assignes
But if my said son Samuel shall dye before he attaines his age of One & twenty years
and without Issue of his body lawfully begotten then I give all and singular the aforesd
premisses with the appertences unto my three children Thomas Quixley John Quixley and
Lucy Quixley and their heirs forever Item I give and divise to my said three children
Thomas, John, & Lucy and their heires All my copyhold Lands tenemts and hereditaments
whatsoever with their appertences holden of the Mannor of Wivenhoe And if any of my said
three children Thomas, John and Lucy shall dye without issue of their body lawfully begotten and before
they attain the age of one and twenty yeares then my Mind and
Will is that the part or parts of such Child or Children so dyeing shall goe to and be
equally divived amongst my surviving child or children & their Heires And in case all
my said children shall dye without issue of their body lawfully begotten and before
they attaine the Age of one & twenty yeares then I give and bequeath All my aforesd
messuages lands tenemts hereditaments a premisses with their appertences, unto my Brother
in law Samuel Bridge of Colchester and his heires forever Item after my just
Debts & funerall Charges paid & satisfied I give the overplus of my psonall
Estate to be equally divided amongst my said four children share and share alike
and I doe nominate & appoint my father in Law Mr Samuel Bridge and my said
Brother in Law Samuel Bridge Executors of this my will and revoaking all others doe
declare itt to be my last In witness whereof I have hereto sett my hand to seale
the seaventeenth day of October in the second Yeare of the reigne of Sovereigne
Lady Anne of England Scotland France & Ireland Queen Defender of the faith &
Anno Dom 1703
