Sover Lord George by the grace of god King of great Brittain France & Ireland defender of the faith
Anno Dom 1716 I Alice Quilter of Wivenhoe in the County of Essex widow to Edwd Quilter of Wivenhoe
aforesaid Late Deceased: I being in health of body and of perfect Memory praise be to god for it and knowing
the Uncertainty of this life on earth and being desirous to settle, things in order do make this my last will and
Testament in Manner and forme Following vizt first and principally I commend my Soul to almighty God
my Creator assuredly believing that I shall receive full pardon and Free remission of my sins & to be saved
by the precious Death & Merits of my Blessed Saviour & Redeemer Christ Jesus: and my body to the earth
Whence it was taken to be buried in such decent & Christian Manner as my Executors hereafter named shall think meet & Convenient
and as touching such worldly Estate goods and Chattles as the Lord in mercy hath Lent me My will & meaning
is the same shall be Imployed and bestowed as hereafter by this my will is Expressed: and first I Revoke
Renounce Frustrate and make void all wills by me Formerly made and declared and appoint this only to
be my Last will and Testament: Item all and singular my Farmes houses Lands Tennements Bills bonds
Goods and Chattlds and Estate Real and personall whatsoever and wheresoever wherewith at the time of my decease
I shall be possessed or Invested or which shall then belong or of Right appertain unto me I give and bequeath
Unto my kinsman Robert Durrill of Wivenhoe In the County of Essex Marriner to him and his Heirs and
Assigns forever he paying and Discharging these Legacies here under mentioned Item I give and bequeath
unto my Kinsman Edward Lock Son of Grace Lock of Colchester the sume of Ten pounds and one silver
Cup to be paid and deliverd by my Executer within twelve months after my Decease Item I Give and bequeath
to my Kinswoman Alice Symons daughter of my Sister Grace Lock the sum of Ten pounds and one silver Beker to be
paid by my Executor within Twelve months after my decease Item I give and bequeath unto my Kinswoman
Hannah Durril Daughter of my Brother Robert Durril The sum of Twenty pounds and one Silver Cup with two
ears and four Silver Spoons to be paid and Delivered to her Twelve months after my decease by my Executer Item I Give
and bequeath unto my Kinswoman Grace Acroll Daughter of my Sister Grace Lock twenty pounds one gold Ring to be delivered to her by
my Executors twelve months after my Decease Item I give and bequeath unto my Kinswoman Margaret Lock Daughter to Thomas
Symons five pounds to be paid her by my Executors twelve months after my Decease Item I give and bequeath unto my Kinswoman
Susannah White Daughtr of Thomas Symons five pounds to be paid by my Executer twelve months after my Decease Item
I Give and bequeath unto my Kinswoman Mary Killam Daughtr of my Kinswoman Mary Killam Twenty pounds to be paid
by my Executor with one silver haft knife & fork with a Case to them and one gold Ring as soone as she attaine the age of
eighteen years Item I Give and Bequeath unto my Kinswoman Susannah Blackman Daughtr of my Kinswoman Susannah
Blackman five pounds to be paid by my Executor when she shall attaine the age of Eighteen years Item I Give, unto my Kinswoman
Grace Vole the Daughter of my Kinswoman Grace Vole the sum of five pounds of Current Money to be paid to her by my Executr
when the shall attaine the age of Eighteen years and my will is that in Case any of the Legatees should depart this Life
before the said Legecies are Due or become payable to either of them then such Legacy or Legacyes bequost by me to them
Or either of them given shall be void and Return to the use of my Executor And of this my Last Will I make and
Ordaine My Loving Kinsman Robert Durrill my full and whole Executr In Witness Whereof I have here unto set
