In the Name of God Amen
The one and twentieth Day of April Anno D[omi]ni One thousand six
hundred ninty six Susan Balls of  Wivenhoe in the county of Essex
Widow being in good health of body and sound disposing mind and
memory praise be therefore given to Almighty God for it Do you make and
ordain this my present last Will and Testament in manner and form.
following (that is to say) First and principally I com[m]end my Soul into the
hands of Almighty God that gave it me and my body I com[m]it to the Earth
to be decently buried at the discretion of my Executor hereafter named And
as touching all such temporall Estate as it hath pleased Almighty God
to bestow upon me I give and dispose thereof as followeth First I will that
my Debts Legacies and Funeral charges be paid and discharged Item I
give and bequeath to my loving Son in Law Thomas Spurham of
Wivenhoe aforesaid Baker and to his heirs Executors Administrators
and Assignes the Sume of Fifty pounds when it shall become due and
payable to me according to the last Will and Testament of my Father
John Potter late of Hadleigh in the County of Suffolk Gent dec[eas]ed Item
I give and bequeath unto my said son his heirs Executors Administrators
and Assigns All the rest and residue of my goods and chattles
whatsoever and wheresoever And I do make nominate appoint and
ordain the said Thomas Spurham full and sole Executor of this my p[re]sent
Last Will and Testament And I do hereby revoke disannull and make void
all former Wills and Testaments by me heretofore made and declared
In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the Day and
year first above written./ Susan Ball ./. Signed Sealed & published and
declared by the said Testatrix in our presence and subscribed by us in her
