506. John KIDBY of Wivenhoe, Husbandman, 1785. D/ACW 35/2/13

In the Name of God Amen I John Kidby of Wivenhoe in
the County of Essex, Husbandman being sick and weak.in body
but of Sound and perfect mind and Memory do make my last Will
and Testament in manner and form following (that is to say)
Imprimus I bequeath my Soul to the hands of Almighty God
hoping for the free pardon of all my sins through the merits of Jesus
Christ my Saviour And to my wordly Estate that God has been
pleased to endow me with I dipose of in manner and form following
Item I give and bequeath to my loving wife Sarah after my Just debts
Funeral Charges the Probate of this my will and all other expences are
paid all my Real estate lying and being in Wivenhoe in the County
aforesaid and also all my Personal Estate wheresoever and whatsoever
and what kind soever that appertains and belongs to me to her and her
Heirs forever And my mind and will also is that if my Personal Estate
will not pay all my just debts [?] aforesaid that in that case  any
Real Estate shall be sold to discharge the same by my Executors
hereafter named And lastly I nominate and appoint my loving wife
Sarah and my friends William Munsey and William Smith both of
Wivenhoe to be Executrix and Executors of this my last
Will and Testament revoking all former Wills by me made I declare
this to be my last will and testament In Witness whereof I
have hereunto set my hand and seal this Sixth day of Dec

John Kidby died in the parish
of Wivenhoe in the County of Essex
April the 7^th 1785

Proved on the seventh Day of May in the Year of our Lord one
Thousand seven Hundred and Eighty five before the Reverend John
Smythies Clerk Surrogate by the oaths of Sarah Kidby Widow the
Relict of the deceased and William Munsey.and William Smith the
Executors to whom Administration &c was granted they being first
sworn duly to administer Power being reserved to William Smith the
other Executor when he shall apply for the same.
