In the name of God Amen I William Rust of Wivenhoe in the County
of Essex Baker being very low and weak in body but of Perfect Mind Memory & Understanding
do make publish declare and ordain this my last Will and Testament in manner & form following
First I commend my Soul to Almighty God who gave it, and my Body to the Earth to be decently
interred at the discretion of my Executor & Executrix hereafter named and as to such worldly
Goods as I am possessed of or shall be at the time of my decease I give and bequeath in manner
following (that is to say) First I give and bequeath to my dearly beloved wife Mary Rust all and
singular my Estate both real and Personal during her natural Life except such Legacies as are
hereafter mentioned that is to say I give and bequeath to my only Daughter Ann Rust five
Pounds a year (to be paid yearly out of the rents and profits of my freehold Estate) during her
Life and after her decease to her heirs of her body Lawfully begotten and for want of such Heirs to
be equally divided between my sons William, Fenwick and Thomas and the child my wife is now preg=
=nant with if it should live. I also give & bequeath to my said Daughter Ann Rust my Red Bed
and furniture as it now stands and two Chests of Drawers, Seven Cane Chairs a box Table and a
Looking Glass belonging to the Room her mothers Wedding ring Six Silver Teaspoons a pair of
silver Tea tongs, a Silver Milk pot, and two large silver spoons one of then marked WCA and at
my decease Ten pounds to be paid by my Executors hereafter named out of my Personal Estate. I also
give and bequeath (after my decease and the decease of my Wife Mary Rust) the whole of my real Estate
to my three sons William, Fenwick & Thomas and to their Heirs for ever and if the Child wherewith
my wife is now pregnant should live it is my desire that it should be Coheir with them And lastly
I give and bequeath to John King of Colchester Miller the sum of five pounds to be paid to him or
his heirs after a year and a day from the time of my decease And I do hereby appoint the said
John King of Colchester in the said County of Essex Miller and my wife Executor and Executrix of this my Last Will and Testament
revoking or setting aside all former Wills made by me or my order the above mentioned five pounds being
given to the said John King for the trouble he may have acting as Executor with my Wife to this my
Last Will and Testament In Witness whereof I have hereunto sett my hand and seal this fourteenth
day of April in the first year of the reign of our sovereign Lord George the Third by the Grace of God of
Great Britain France and Ireland King defender of the Faith &c and in the year of our Lord 1761

This Will was proved on the 2nd fay of February in the year of our
Lord 1762 Before the Reverend George Kilby Clerk Surrogate &c by the Oaths of
John King and Mary Rust Widow the Relict of the Deceased and Executors named
in the said will to whom Admion of all and singular the Goods Chattels and Credits
of the said Deceased was Granted and Committed on the 5th day of the said Month
of February they being first sworn duly to Administer
