463. Thomas HARLOW of Wivenhoe, Seaman, 1763.

In the Name of God Amen. I Thos Harlow of Wivenhoe
in the County of Essex Seaman Being of perfect mind & Memory,
and Calling to mind the uncertainty of this Transitory Life as well
as the Danger of the seas (and Intending through Gods Permision
to Sail with the first fair wind) to the East India’s in the Company’s
ship Called the Godolphin Captain Hutchinson Commander)
Do make and ordain this My Last will and Testament in manner and
form following (that is to say) I Commend my Soul to Almighty God
who Gave it and my Body to the Earth or Seas as it shall happen
And as to such Worldly Goods as I now am possessed off, or shall be
at the time I depart this life (it so it shall happen before the said
voyage is Compleated I give and Bequeath the same in manner
following that is to say I Give and Bequeath to my Loving Father
John Harlow of Wivenhoe aforesaid all and Singular all such wage
as shall become Due to me from the said East India Company and
Likewise all and Singular all such sums of Money As I now have are
due or shall or may become due to e from the said Company or any
other person or persons whatsoever, Constituting and appointing (by
these presents) my Loving Father John Harlow aforesaid full & Sole
Executor to this my Last will and Testament, But in Case I should
Survive my said father, then I Constitute and appoint my loving
Sister Mary Harlow Executrix in his Stead and to have full power
and authority to ask demand, and receive such sums of money as
shall become due as aforesaid revoking and setting asides or making
void all other wills by one made or Caused to be made declaring this
to be my last will and Testament. In witness whereof I have here
unto Set my hand and seal this Tenth day of April in the Thirty
second year of the reign of our Sovereign Lord George 2nd by the Grace
of God of Great Britain France, & Ireland King Defender of the faith
and in the year of our Lord 1759
