486. Rowland NICHOLSON of Wivenhoe, Mariner, 1775. D/ACW 33/5/4

In the name of God Amen This is the Last Will and
Testament of me Rowland Nicholson of Wivenhoe in the County
of Essex Marriner.  First and principally I commend my soul into
the hands of Almighty God and my Body to the Earth to be decently
Buried according to the Discretion of my Executor hereafter named, And
for my Temporal Estates that I shall be possessed of at my Decease I
Give and dispose of in manner following that is to say I Give, devise
and Bequeath to my loving wife Margaret Nicholson all and singular
my Estates Both real and personal whatsoever and wheresoever, to hold to
her for and during the Term of her natural Life and after her decease I give
and Devise to my son Frederick Nicholson all and singular that my
Freehold Cottage with the appurtenances thereunto belonging containing
by estimation half an acre of Land or thereabouts situate in the parish of
East Mersea in the County of Essex aforesaid and now in the Occupation
of John Bacon his undertenants or assigns, to hold to him the said
Frederick Nicholson and his heirs for ever, and do hereby appoint the
said Frederick Nicholson full and sole executor of this my last will and
Testament In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal
this fifteenth day of September in the fourteenth year of the Reign of our
sovereign Lord George the Third by the Grace of God of Great Britain
France and Ireland King defender of the faith &c and in the year of our
Lord One Thousand Seven hundred and Seventy four

This Will of Rowland Nicholson late of the Parish of Wivenhoe in the County of Essex
deceased was proved on the Twenty first day of February in the year of our Lord one
Thousand Seven Hundred and Seventy Five Before the Reverend John Smyth Clerk Surrogate &c
by the oath of Frederick Nicholson son of the said deceased and sole Executrix to whom
Administration of all and Singular the Goods Chattels and Credits of the said deceased was granted
and committed on the Twenty third day of the same month he being first sworn duly to administer
