446. Hannah HALL of Wivenhoe, Widow, 1754. D/ACW 30/7/27

In the Name of God Amen I Hannah Hall of Wivenhoe in the County of Essex widow being in
Perfect mind and memory do the second Day of April one thousand Seven hundred and fifty make and ordain
This my last will and testament in manner and forme following First I Commend my Soul into the hands of
Almighty God who gave it me and my Body I Commend to the Earth to be Decently Buried at the Discretion of my
Executors herein after named I do hereby give unto my son George Hall and his Heirs for Ever all that Copyhold
Tenement or messuage and appurtenances (where my said son George now Liveth) I also give to my son Robert
Hall
and his Heirs for Ever all that Copyhold Tenement with the appurtenances to the same belonging now in the
Occupation of Mrs Pertwee widow.  I also Give and Bequeath unto my Son Clear Hall and his Heirs for Ever
all that Copyhold Tenement where I now Live together with the appurtenances to the same Belonging.  I also Give
to my # # # # # # four Grand Daughters (Children of my son John Hall Deceased and my Son
Clear Hall) all my wearing Linen and apparell to be equally parted among them or the Survivors of them
all the rest of my goods and Chattels not Bequeathed I give to be Sold or Equally parted among my three
sons George Hall Robert Hall, and Clear Hall;  they paying my Just Debts, funeral Charges and Probate
of this my last Will and Testament Revoking all former Wills Gifts Legacies and Executors before made
Rattifying and Confirming this and none other to be my last Will and Testament In Witness whereof
I have hereunto sett my hand and seal the Day and year above written

By the said Hannah Hall the Testator in the
Presence of us and witnessed the same in her presence

A Codicil (to the above written (Will0 bearing Date the second day of April one thousand
Seven hundred and Fifty) The said Hannah Hall the Testatrix do hereby Devise all
that my Copyhold Messuage and Gardens and appurtenances to Same Belonging where my
son George Hall now liveth in Wivenhoe to my said son George Hall and his Heirs
but if my said son George Hall shall depart this Life before me then I Give the Same
Messuages and appurtenances to Susan his wife for the term of her Natural Life
and after her Decease to my son Robert and his Heirs for Ever this to be taken and
Deemed as part of the above written Will In witness whereof I the said Hannah
Hall have hereunto set my hand and seal the sixteenth Day of August one thousand Seven
Hundred fifty three and in the presence of us whose names are subscribed as Witnesses

Of the premises & faithfully to Execute etc.
Proved the 23rd December in the year of our Lord 1754 before Geo: Kilby Surrogate
The Revd George Kilby Clk A:M: lawful Surrogate by the
Oath of George Hall the son of the dec[eas]ed one of the Executors
To whom admon was granted he being first sworn duly to admr
Power being reserved for Clear Hall also a son of the deced the other
Extor to do the like whenever he shall lawfully apply for the same
