In the name of God amen
Martha Lidwell widow of Joseph Lidwell [S?]
late of Wivenhoe in the County of Essex do make
publish and declare this my last Will and Testament
in manner and form following  vizt first I commend
my soul unto God who gave it and my body to
the Earth to be decently buried and as to the worldly
Estate which it hath pleased God to bless me with
I dispose of in the following manner I give and
bequeath to my Brother John Pain and my sister
Sarah the Wife of Thomas Hide Carpenter of

Hastings in the County of Sussex all my Estate both
real and personal of all kinds and natures soever for
their use and benefit jointly & equally share and share
alike and I here nominate and appoint my said
Brother & Sister John Pain and Sarah Hide with
Thomas hide, Carpenter of Hastings in Sussex aforesaid
joint executors this my last Will and Testament
utterly revoking all former Wills by me heretofore made
In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and
seal this first day of May in the year of our lord One
thousand eight hundred Martha Sidwell
Sealed Signed published and declared by the said
Testator Martha Lidwell as and for her last Will
and Testament in the presence of us who at her request
and in the presence of each other have subscribed our
names as Witnesses thereto

This Will was proved at London the twenty
sixth day of June in the year of our Lord One thousand
eight hundred before the worshipful William Territt
Doctor of Laws Surrogate of the Right Honorable Sir
William Wynne Knight also Doctor of Laws Master
keeper or commisary of the Prerogative Court of
Canterbury lawfully constituted by the Oath of Thomas
Hide one of the Executors named in the Will to
whom Administration waas granted of all and
singular the Goods Chattels and Credits of the
deceased having been first sworn duly to administer
power reserved for making the like grant to John Pain
and Sarah Hide wife of the said Thomas Hide the
Brother and Sister of the Deceased and other Executors
named in the said Will when they or either of them
shall apply for the same.
