403. Richard MADDER of Wivenhoe, Yeoman, 1735. D/ACW 28/2/19

Richard Madder of Wivenhoe, Essex, yeoman being weak of body 19 Feb 1732 (6 Geo II) To be decently buried at the discretion of my exectors hereinafter named.  All my just debts funeral charges and the probate of this my last will and testament to be first paid and discharged.  I give and bequeath unto my grandson Thomas Madder and his heirs for ever two copyhold tenements and the wheelwrights shop with all the appurtenances to them belonging situate and being in Wivenhoe adjoining to the limekiln.  I give unto my grandson Thomas Madder the sum of four pounds to take up the sd tenements with.  I give unto my three grandchildren, Mary Madder daughter of my son Roger Madder deceased and Ann Madder and Rebecca Madder daughter of my son Thomas Madder deceased to each of them the sum of twenty pounds to be paid them at their respective ages of twenty one years or days of marriage which shall first happen.  But if any of my said granddaughters die before their legacies become due payable then their part or parts shall go to the survivor or survivors of them.  But if it shall so happen that they all die before the said legacies become due and payable then I give the same to my two grandsons Roger Madder and Thomas Madder to be equally parted between them.  And further my will is that Nathaniel Cardy of Alresford, Essex, yeoman  my executr herein after named shall take care of the said legacies for my granddaughters  and put them out to interst where he think most convenient and the interest thereof to be paid them toward the finding them with clothes.  I give to William Madder my servants two guineas to be paid him one month after my decease.  I give to Elizabeth the wife of grandson Roger Madder one gold ring.  I give to my grandson Roger Madder all my wearing apparel both linen and wollen after all my debts funeral charges, probate of my will and legacies paid and my friend Nathaniel Cardy satisfied for his trouble of executorship;  what remain over and above I give to my two grandsons Roger & Thomas Madder.   Friend Nathaniel Cardy of Alresford and Grandson Roger Madder Executors.
