402. Ralph PIMM of Wivenhoe, Yeoman, 1734. D/ACW 28/1/17

In the Name of God Amen I Ralph Pimm of Wivenhoe in the County of Essex Yeoman being
Sick and weak of Body but of sound and perfect mind and memory Do make this my Last Will and Testament in manner
Following (to wit) I Bequeath my Soul into the hands of Almighty God trusting through the merritts of Jesus Christ my
Saviour for free pardon of all my sins and my body I Committ to the Earth to be Decently buried at the Discretion of my
Executors herein after named as touching such worldy Estate as it hath pleased God in his mercy to bestow upon
me I Dispose thereof as followeth In the first place I Give and bequeath unto my son Ralph Pimm all that my
Copyhold Messuage or Tenement with the Lands and appurtenances to the same belonging called Hawks Grove now in the occupation
of Abraham Aylwood and Philip Causton and holden of the Manner of Wivenhoe to hold to him the said Ralph Pimm his heirs and assigns
for Ever he paying out thereof yearly to my Daughter Katherine Pimm the full sum of twenty shillings without any abatement
or Deduction whatsoever untill she attain the full age of Twenty one years to be paid her Quarterly but if the said annuity or yearly sum of twenty shillings or any part thereof be behind and unpaid ten days after it becomes due that then it shall and may be lawful for my said
Daughter Katherine to reenter on the said premises and take & Distress of such Goods and Chattels as are upon the said premises for the recovery of the yearly rent
as aforesaid and the charges thereof Item I Give and Devise unto my son John Pimm all my freehold Messuages or tenements Lands and premises
Lying in the parish of Wivenhoe aforesaid now in the tenure or occupation of Philip Causton and Thomas Durell to hold the same with the appurtenances
to him the said John Pimm his heirs and assigns forever he paying out thereof unto my daughter Hannah Pimm yearly until she attain the
Age of Twenty years the sum of four pounds to be paid her Quarterly but if the said Annuity or yearly rent of four pounds or any part thereof be
unpaid ten days after it become due that then it shall and may be Lawful for my said Daughter Hannah to reenter on any part of the said
premises and take a Distress of Such Goods and Chattels as are upon the said premises for the recovery of the yearly rent as aforesaid and
the charges thereof Item I give and Bequeath unto my said son John Pimm the lease of the premises where I now dwell and all benefit
and advantage arising by or out of the Same, Item I Give and Devise unto my four Daughters Mary Pimm Sarah Pimm Katherine Pimm
and Hannah Pimm all my freehold Messuages or Tenements Lands and premises scituate and being in the parish of Saint Leonard or elsewhere within the
Town of Colchester to hold the Same with the appurtenances unto them the said Mary Pimm Sarah Pimm Katherine Pimm and Hannah Pimm their heirs and assigns
For Ever in Equall proportions share and share alike.  Butt my mind and will is that if any or either of my said Daughters shall happen to dye before they or
either of them shall attain their full age of one and twenty years and without issue of their bodys lawfully begotten then in such case I give the part and share of
her or them so dying to be Equally Divided between the Survivors of them their heirs and assigns for ever. Item I give and bequeath unto my son in law John
Lassell Twenty pounds which he oweth me upon a note under his hand and do hereby order my Executors to give him up the said note to be Cancelled.  Item I Give
unto my Daughter Mary Pimm the sum of fifteen pounds to be paid her at her age of one and twenty years.  Item I Give unto my Daughter Sarah
Pimm the sum of fifteen pounds to be paid her at her age of one and twenty years by my son John Simmonds out of the stock Item I Give unto my
Daughter Mary Pimm all the Household Goods that was Left by her Grandmother.  Item all the rest and residue of my Estate whatsoever both
real and personall and in whatsoever the same is or may consist from and after the payment of my Just Debts legacies and funeral Charges and the Charge of the probate of this my will I Give and bequeath unto my son John Pimm And I do hereby Nominate and appoint my said Sons Ralph Pimm and john Pimm Executors of this my will and testament and I do hereby revoke all former
Wills Testaments gifts and Legacys by me made & I do declare this to be my last will and testament  In Witness whereof I have
Have hereunto Sett my hand and seal this fourth Day of May in the year of our Lord one thousand Seven hundred and thirty four
