440. Samuel FILLTO of Wivenhoe, Barber Surgeon, 1750. D/ACW 30/3/38

I Samuel Filtoe of Wivenhoe in the County of Essex Barber Surgeon being in good health
And of a perfect mind memory and understanding Fo this eight day of August in the year of our
Lord one thousand seven hundred and forty eight make publish and declare this to be and contain
My last Will and Testament as follows Item I give and bequeath to Abigail the wife of Samuel
Golding
of Colchester in the County of Essex Weaver one Guinea to be paid to her within one month
Next after my decease I also give and bequeath to Elizabeth the Wife of Charles Holt of Barnaby
Street London Carman one Guinea to be paid to her within one Month next after my decease I
also give and bequeath to Samuel Filtoe my son (In case he shall be living at the time of my
decease) the sum of twenty pounds when he shall demand the same to be paid him by my Executrix
and Executor herein after named in equal portions and my mind and Will is that neither my said
executrix and executor shall be chargeableone to the other or to the said Samuel my son for default
in payment of their proportionable share as aforesaid But for their civil default in payment
only I also give and bequeath to John Filtoe my son the silver Tankard now called his own as
being bought with his own money or the sum of five pounds in lieu thereof as he shall choose
and in case he shall accept of the said sum of five pounds then I give the said Tankard to my
wife Jane to be at her own disposal  All the rest residue and remainder of all my Estate
whatsoever and wheresoever either real or personal that I shall leave at the time of my decease (after payment of debts, legacies, funeral charges and charges of proving of this will I give devise and bequeath to my loving wife Jane and John my son (execs) to be equally divided between them.
