In the Name of God Amen I Abraham
Hamshire
of Wivenhoe in the County of
Essex Carpenter being sick in Body
but of sound & disposing Mind & Memory
praised be God for the same do make &
ordain this my last Will & Testament
in manner & form following
First I resign my Soul into the hands of
Almighty God that gave it hopeing for parden
of my Sinns through the Merits & Mediation
of my Saviour Jesus Christ as for my
Body I desire it may be privately buried
at the discretion of my Executor herein
after named. As to my Real & Personal
Estate after my debts & Legacies paid
& satisfied I dispose in Manner & Form
following Imprimis I give & bequeath
unto my Nephew Henry Hamshire the Son
of Gabriel Hamshire & to his Heirs for
Ever all my Freehold & Coppyhold Lands
Within the County of Essex upon this
Condition that he shall within twelve
Months after my decease pay unto his
Sister Elizabeth & to Emanuel Campion
& John Campion the sons of my sister
Elizabeth Campion & to my niece
Mary Wells daughter of my sister
Mary Wells five pounds a piece to each
Of them & shall likewise pay to John
Hampshire
& Henry Hampshire Fifty
Shillings a piece to each of them beinge sons
Of my nephew John Hampshire
Item I give to my nephew Henry Hampshire
All my working tools
Item I give to Samuel King of Wivenhoe
Aforesaid Carpenter twenty shillings
For a ring in rememberance of me &
I do nominate and appoint the said Samuel
King
sole executor of this my last will
& testament hereby revoking all former
Wills whatsoever and I doe sign seal
& publish this to be my last will &
Testament this 3d day of February Anno
