314. John ANDREWS of Wivenhoe, Butcher, 1700.  D/ACW 22/236

In the name of God Amen I John Andrews of
Wivenhoe in the County of Essex Butcher, being weak in
body but of sound & perfect mind & memory praised be
God therefore do make & declare this my last will & testament
in manner & form following That is to say First I bequeath
my soul into the hands of Almighty God my creator hopeing
to be saved through the solome meritts of Jesus Christ my
saviour and my body to the Earth to be decently buried at
the discretion of my Executr hereafter nominated Item I
give & bequeath unto my loving wife Susanna Andrews one
fetherbed & bedsted with curtains bolsters pillows blanketts and
Rugg thereunto belonging and now standing in the new chamber
together wth one Chest of drawers in the same room and one
Great Hutch in my room: Item I give and bequeath
unto my Son Tho: Andrews all my wearing apparel both
woollen & Linnen, and three pounds in money to be paid him
by my Executrix within the Space of one yeare and a day after
my decease Item I give & bequeath unto my Lo: daughter
Susanna Fosters three children now living twenty shillings
a peice to be paid into the hands of my sd Daughter Susanna
within the space of one yeare & a day as aforesd. and in case either
of the sd three Children should dye within the yeare aforesd to
be divided to the survivors or survivors. Item I give and
bequeath unto my Loving daughter Sarah Andrews all my
Bills Bonds Debts and personall Estate whatsoever and
lastly I do make & ordaine my lo’g. daughter Sarah Andrews
my sole Executrix of this my last will & testament revoke
-ing all other wills I do ordaine this my last: In witnesse
whereof I have to this my last will & testament sett my hand
& seale this eighteenth day of may in the fifth yeare of
the reigne of our sovereing Lord & Lady William and Mary
King & Queen of England & Et:  Anno Dom 1693
