496. Samuel WHITLEY of Wivenhoe, Fisherman,1781. D/ACW 34/4/27

In the Name of God Amen I Samuel Whitley o
Wivenhoe in the County of Essex Fisherman being of sound Mind Memory
and Understanding Do hereby make and Ordain this my last Will and
Testament in manner and form as follows, First and Principally I
commend my Soul into the Hands of Almighty God, And my Body to the Earth
to be there decently Buried at the Discretion of my Executrix hereinafter named
And as to my Worfly Effects (after all my Just Debts are discharged and paid off)
I Give and bequeath as follows.  Item I give and Bequeath unto my Loving
Daughter Sarah Whitley All that my Good Fishing Yawl or Vessel called the
John and Mary together with all and Singular her Masts, Yards Sails Anchors Cables
Warps Ropes Standing and Running Rigging Boat Oars Fishing Netts of every kind Dredges
and all other the materials and appurtenances to the said Yawl or Vessel belonging or in
any wise appertaining    Item I give and Devise unto my said daughter
Sarah Whitley all my Household Furniture Consisting of Beds with their Furniture
Tables, Chairs Boilers Pewter and all and every other Article of Household furniture
that may be my property at the time of my Decease to her Use and Benefit absolutely
and for ever.  And I do hereby Nominate, Constitute and appoint my said
Daughter Sarah Whitley Sole Executrix of this my last Will and Testament for the purposes
aforementioned hereby revoking all former and other Will or Wills by me made or caused to
be made.  Declaring this to be my last, and true Will and Testament, and which is wrote
upon a sheet of common Writing paper and signed and sealed by me at the bottom thereof this
Twenty ninth day of December in the year of our Lord one thousand Seven Hundred and Eighty.

Signed, Sealed, Published and Declared by the said Testator
as and for his Last Will and Testament and we whose
Names which are hereunto subscribed as Witnesses, did
see the said Testator Samuel Whitley Sign and Seal the
same, in the presence of us and at the request of the said Testator
