428. William HALL of Wivenhoe, Mariner, 1746. D/ACW29/6/28

This is the Last Will and testament of me William Hall of
Wivenhoe in the County of Essex Mariner being in health of Body and of sound and
Disposing Mind & memory Thanks be to Almighty God for the same made in manner and
Form following (that is to say) First I give and devise unto Mary my Dear and Loving
Wife All and Every my Freehold and Copyhold Estates with their respective Rights
Members and Appurtenances To hold unto my said Wife and her Assigns for and
during the Term of her natural Life and immediately from and after her Decease I give
and devise unto my Eldest Son John and his Heirs for Ever All that my Copyhold Messuage
or Tenements and farm with the Lands Rights Members and Hereditaments thereunto
belonging Scituate Lying and being in Fingringhoe in the said County of Essex now in
the Occupation of John Pertesque his Assignee or Assigns Also I give and Devise immediately
after my said Wife’s Decease unto my son William and his Heirs for Ever All that my
Copyhold Messuage or Tenement with the Appurtenances purchased of Abraham Nunn scituate
in Wivenhoe aforesaid And now in the Tenure of the said Abraham Nunn his Assignee or
Assigns Item I Give and Devise unto Mary my Daughter All those my Freehold Lands
and Tenements with their Appurtenances which I lately purchased of Mr Samuel King scituate
Lying and being in Wivenhoe aforesaid and now in the Occupation of Me and one Joseph Hamm
His Assignee or Assigns To Hold unto the said Mary my Daughter her Heirs and Assigns
absolutely and for Ever Likewise I Give and Devise immediately after the Decease
of my said Wife unto my said son William All those my Copyhold Lands and Tenements
called Brooke House or otherwise with the Appurtenances Scituate in Wivenhoe aforesaid
and now in the Occupation of Me and one Daniel Morris his Assignee or Assigns And
Also All that my Messuage or Tenement with the Appurtenances wherein I now Dwell
Scituate and being in Wivenhoe aforesaid To Hold unto the said William my Son and
his Heirs for Ever Further firmly relying on the Integrity of my said Wife in
providing for Educating and bringing up my said Children I give and bequeath (after
Mortgages of my said Estate or any part thereof) unto my said Wife All my Goods Chattells
Share and Shares in Shipping and all other my personal Estate of what nature or kind
soever and wheresoever Lastly I do nominate Constitute and appoint my said Wife Sole
Executrix of this my Will And revoking all former Will and Wills by me at any time
heretofore made I do Declare this to be my Last In Witness whereof I have
to this my Last Will and Testament Contained in this Sheet of Paper sett my
Hand and Seal this First Day of March in the year of our Lord

September 18 1746 Mary Hall widow the within named Executrix was sworn to the truth of the premises & faithfully to execute the same before me Geo Kilby Surrogate
